Carol's Assistants

Jason Karch

On the first night of your classes, you will be greeted by Jason who will complete your paperwork and fit your dog for a leash and collar. Jason has been involved with our program for 13 years and is an excellent trainer and a huge asset to the classes on many levels.

It is very helpful to have a man involved with the classes. A common problem we deal with is a dog's fear of men. In these cases, Jason will spend extra time with the dog to gain his/her confidence. More often than not, at the conclusion of classes they are best buddies.

Whenever I run into former students, one of their most frequently asked questions is "How's Jason?" That is most definately because he always does his very best to make their training experience a positive one.

Jason shares his life with two Labrador Retriever mixes, Mollie and Brielle and a calico cat named Cyenna.

Kristine Kalfas

Kris began her association with the classes 7 years ago when she enrolled her handsome setter mix, Digby. Soon after that she returned with her adorable little terrier mix, Mattie. Her experiences were positive and she expressed interest in joining the training program.

Kris has since evolved into an excellent trainer with unlimited patience. If a dog and owner are having difficulties with a certain behavior she will give them some private instruction away from the group where they are free to work at their own pace. A happy, well behaved dog and even happier owner is always the result.

Kris has never met a dog she didn't love. If there are eight dogs in class by the end of the cycle she more than likely has eight "favorites".

In addition to her dogs, Kris shares her life with four cats, Aspen, Corkey, Gizmo, and Smokey.
